Our Process

TLC uses a customer centered process:

  • Complementary Initial Meeting to discuss your project:
    • What are your dreams?
    • Who will use the space?
    • How will you use the space?
    • Where are the mechanicals (heating, plumbing, electrical) located?
    • What is your budget?
    • What is your time frame?
  • Estimate:
    • John and Jan work together to develop an initial estimate and define the scope of work.
    • TLC presents the estimate to the homeowner
    • Contract for the project is signed and a down payment received
  • Preparation:
    • John brings subs in to see the project and refines the estimate.
    • Jan makes appointments with preferred suppliers and visits them with the homeowner to select materials – cabinets, flooring, counter tops, faucetry, sinks, toilets, etc.
    • Upon completion of selections, materials are ordered and a construction schedule is established
  • Construction:
    • TLC Contractors and subs care for your home like they would their own.
    • Regular consultation/update meetings are held with customer.
    • Work and materials are guaranteed.

 During the entire process, John looks at the project from a construction view and Jan looks at the project from the users view.
